Setting up Dexter - Curtailment
To use the Dexter integration, you need to inform Dexter that you wish to receive curtailment signals on this Sofar EMS, because a contract with Dexter is required.
In the Sofar EMS, you can set up the Dexter integration to receive curtailment signals. You can find the Dexter integration in the list of external data sources. The following screen will appear:

The following fields need to be filled in:
- Username: Enter the username provided by Dexter.
- Password: Enter the password provided by Dexter.
- Refresh interval: This is the interval at which the Sofar EMS will check for new curtailment signals from Dexter. The default value is 5 seconds, but you can adjust if requested by Dexter.
- Strike price: Consult with Dexter what strike price you should use. This is the price at which the curtailment signal will be activated and will be projected against the forecasted imbalance price given by Dexter.
- Timeout: This is the time in seconds that the Sofar EMS will wait for a response from Dexter before timing out. The default value is 5 minutes, after we cancel any curtailment signal that was sent by Dexter.

- Version number: This is the version of the Dexter integration. Use the latest version available, which is currently 2.
